One Pot Creamy Orzo Salmon

Creamy Orzo and Paprika Salmon in under 30 mins

Cook Time: Under 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 50g Butter

  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced

  • Pinch Salt

  • Crack of pepper

  • 1 tsp plain flour

  • 500ml milk (I used whole)

  • 180g orzo

  • 2 Skinless salmon fillets

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • pinch salt

  • 200ml water

  • 50g Parmesan, grated

    Method

  1. Turn on the grill

  2. Heat butter and fry garlic on medium for 2 mins until fragrant with salt and pepper

  3. Add flour and cook for a min then add the milk and orzo, cook for 10 mins on medium stirring like a risotto

  4. Add salmon with oil, garlic, paprika and a pinch of salt to season.

  5. Add water and parmesan, the orzo should be just cooked and the sauce should be coating the back of a spoon. Add the seasoned salmon fillets over the thickened orzo.

  6. Grill for 10 mins until the salmon is golden and the orzo is just caramelising. Serve with a sprinkle of chives.
